MESSAGING LEVEL 2+ ADMINISTRATION & SUPPORT
I. Position of the job in the organization
Team: Global Messaging Team
Report to: GMO APAC Service Delivery Team Leader
Manager: Global Messaging Operation Manager
II. Missions
To administrate and support on a daily basis the Active Directory and MS-Exchange messaging systems used within the global messaging team of the Alcatel-Lucent Infrastructure & Operations department.
To achieve the international technical level 2+ support on Active Directory and MS-Exchange
To automate and optimize the Active Directory and Messaging Service
III. Responsibilities:
Administration and Support of the Alcatel-Lucent Worldwide Active Directory and Messaging Service
Achieves the level 2+ international technical support on Active Directory and MS-Exchange Systems
Support the level 2 on the daily administration
Participate and assistance with users migration between two exchange organizations in cross forest environment
Appraises the functioning of the processes, the SMTP/MS-Exchange routing, the tuning of servers.
Develops procedures or documents that allow the automation of operational tasks and service improvement for all Messaging teams (level 2 and Service Desk).
Achieves the customer support in the operations linked to the service.
Suggests, assists and intervenes as Messaging Expert to the Operational Alcatel-Lucent teams (Messaging team, HelpDesk team, AD team, …).
Manages changes and complaints at a worldwide environment
Manages Capacity Planning (global performance issue & OS, storage performance) for proactive diagnose.
Manages the crisis and performance problems: identifies the causes and finds solutions.
Management and Deployment of Projects within the global messaging department of Alcatel-Lucent Infrastructure and Operations.
IV. Level of education and experience wanted
Higher education in computer science
Engineer/Diploma in computer science
2 to 3 years experience in a similar position
V. Required Skills
Multiple Messaging system knowledge (Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007)
Data Center type operation knowledge
Technical Knowledge of DNS
Technical Knowledge of protocols like SMTP, IMAP, LDAP, X500, TCP-IP, …
Technical Knowledge of W2K3, GroupShield, Windows clustered solutions
English: Fluent oral and written
VI. Optional Skills
Technical knowledge of Microsoft Live Communication Server (LCS)
Technical knowledge of Blackberry and Goodlink servers
Certification on MS-Exchange and Active Directory on versions 2003 and 2007
VII. Qualities
Independent, shows initiative
Capacity of analysis
Team spirit
VIII. Work Hours and Location
GMO Team works on 3 shift basis providing 24 X 7 supports. (Indian Standard Time 6:00AM to 3:00PM, 10:00 PM to 7:00AM, 2:00 PM to 11:00PM) and follows India Holidays.
